Tom Barron is a Vietnam veteran having served in the U.S. Air Force as Crew Chief on a C-141A aircraft flying combat support missions worldwide, and earning the Air Force Commendation Medal. Tom holds a Bachelors of Business Administration from the University of Arkansas and a Masters degree in Business Management. He retired from the Department of Defense after working 30 years at Tinker AFB Directorate of Contracting. He was Supervisor of B-52 Bomber & Missiles Contract Mod/Support, served as Chief of the Directorate Pricing Division, Chief of Contractor Logistics Support including Air Force One Executive fleet and various other positions in his contracting career at Tinker.
Tom is currently under contract as Contract Quality Control Representative at the Federal Aviation Agency/MMAC/AMQ in Oklahoma City. He is currently serving as President of the Harrah Historical Society, and a member of the Board of Directors, Harrah Memory Lane Cemetery Association.He and his family are involved with, and supporters of, the Harrah Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society.
Tom and his wife, Jolene, are proud parents of three sons, and grandparents to three granddaughters. He is a firm believer that all citizens must take an interest in their community to insure it is a place they can be proud of and their children can grow and feel safe.
Those of us who are privileged to live in Harrah should be thankful for these blessings and do what we can to contribute back to the community. Serving is a privilege and I hope to have a positive influence on the progress and growth of our town. Thank you for your support, and in return, I will support the best interests of our community.
