The City has passed a resolution calling for a Special Election to fill the vacancy for Ward 2. The Election will be held on November 3rd, 2026 and the filing period for candidates will be from 8 am Monday, August 17th through 5 pm Wednesday, August 19th. To qualify candidates must be a qualified elector and a resident of the city for a period of one year and a resident of the wad for a period of six months immediately prior to filing a declaration of candidacy.
