Utility Clerk:

The Utility Clerk has responsibility for the performance of a variety of complex tasks related to the operation and maintenance of the utility billing system.  The Utility Clerk is engaged in various tasks such as handling cash transactions, billing utility customers, and producing reports of utility collections status.  This position does assist permits and court as needed.

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have a valid Oklahoma Driver’s License
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must not have been convicted of a felony.
  • Must be bondable.
  • Hourly pay based on experience and education.

Deputy Fire Chief:

The City of Harrah is accepting applications for full-time Deputy Fire Chief.

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Fire Science, or closely related field from accredited college or university
  • Ten (10) years’ experience as a paid firefighter in all phases firefighter, fire prevention, with at least four (4) years at a rank of Captain or higher is desired
  • Licensed Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
  • Must reside within a 15-minute response time of a border to the Harrah Fire jurisdiction within 180 days of employment
  • Must be able to pass background check
  • Must be able to pass drug screening

Benefits:

  • Salary ($50,000 - $60,000) based on education and experience-Position is exempt from overtime.

School Resource Officer:

The City of Harrah is accepting applications for a full-time Patrolman/Police Officer- School Resource Officer.

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be a citizen of the United States and possess a valid OK Driver License
  • Must be between the ages of 21 and 45
  • Must possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must not have any felony convictions, serious misdemeanor convictions, domestic violence convictions, pending criminal charges, or other disqualifiers listed on the form
  • All applicants must be able to pass physical agility, written exam, background check, MMPI, polygraph, drug screen & OK Police Pension physical
  • CLEET certified required with a minimum of 2 years of patrol experience.
  • Oklahoma SRO/ NASRO training and SRO experience preferred but not required.

Benefits:

  • Starting pay for Patrol I: $48,068.80 annual
  • CLEET certified officers with applicable experience may receive a higher starting pay, up to the maximum of $54,121.60 annually.

Probationary Firefighter

The City of Harrah is accepting applications for a full-time Probationary Firefighter.

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be a citizen of the United States and possess a valid OK Driver License
  • Must be between the ages of 18 and 45
  • Must possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must have Firefighter I certification and nationally registered EMT certification
  • Must be able to obtain ICS (NIMS) 100, 200, 700 and EVDT within 1 year of hire date.
  • Ability to perform firefighting duties, lay and connect hoses and suit up with SCBA tanks and protective gear.
  • Operate in various environments and climates.
